They also prepare a project charter that summarizes the key information and expectations of the project.

Planning: In this phase, the project manager develops a detailed plan that outlines how the project will be executed. They define the tasks, activities, milestones, dependencies, and deadlines of the project. They also assign roles and responsibilities to the team members and establish communication channels. They create a budget that estimates the expenses and revenues of the project. They also develop a risk management plan that identifies potential threats and mitigation strategies.

Execution: In this phase, the project manager leads the team to perform the tasks and activities according to the plan. They monitor and control the progress,
quality, scope, budget, and risks of the project. They also communicate regularly with the stakeholders and report on the status and issues of the project. They also manage any changes or deviations from the plan.

Closure: In this phase, the project manager finalizes and delivers the project outcomes to the customers or sponsors. They also evaluate the performance and results of the project against the objectives and criteria. They document the lessons learned and best practices from the project. They also celebrate the achievements and recognize the contributions of the team members.

Project management in healthcare is a challenging but rewarding career that can make a positive impact on people’s lives. By applying effective project management techniques and skills, healthcare project managers can ensure that their projects are completed successfully and meet the needs and expectations of their customers.
